American Girl Dolls Up Barnes & Noble
By Caren PuttermanBarnes & Noble is hosting an exclusive sweepstakes from American Girl that leverages the July 2 theatrical release of New Line Cinema's Kit Kittredge: An American Girl.
American Girl will award a pair of dolls to one winner at each Barnes & Noble store. Shoppers enter via entry forms at table displays merchandising various American Girl products such as books, CDs and "fashion kits." The sweeps runs June 5 through July 2.
Some independent bookstores are also hosting the sweeps, according to an American Girl spokesperson.
Barnes & Noble, New York, operates 713 Barnes & Noble stores and 85 B. Dalton locations nationwide. A subsidiary of Mattel, Middleton, WI-based American Girl has product and publishing divisions and operates three retail stores.
