In-Store Summit Calls for Speakers

The In-Store Marketing Summit, the premier educational event for in-store marketing professionals, is soliciting speaker proposals for 2007.

This two day-conference is for professionals who are responsible for helping their brands or their clients' brands thrive in-store. The Summit features six seminar tracks designed to help marketers successfully implement in-store marketing programs. Visit www.instoremarketer.org for more information on the Institute and its events.

We are looking for dynamic speakers to present at the 2007 In-Store Marketing Summit, which will take place April 19-20, 2007 at McDonald's' Hamburger University in Oak Brook, IL. Some key topics/themes include:

  • Shopper and Channel Insights (including retail research, channel-specific research, consumer trends and buying habits)
  • Packaging and Branding (including package design, package innovation, packaging research and success stories)
  • Building Brands In-Store (including environmental branding, creating brand identity, retail/brand collaboration, and successful brand-building case histories)
  • Shaping the Retail Environment (including retail design trends, innovations and retail/environmental research)
  • Retail Media (including the store as a medium, retail media research, and implementing successful retail media campaigns)
  • The In-Store Experience (including retail special events and tie-ins)
If you are interested, please send your proposal via e-mail to Ronit Lawlor at ronit_lawlor@instoremarketer.org by Monday, Oct. 16, 2006. If you have any questions, or would like to discuss a potential topic, please feel free to e-mail or call Ronit at (201) 297-1570.
Here are a few key points to consider when planning your proposal:
  • Sessions are 45 minutes in length, including a question and answer period.
Commercialism and self-promotion are not allowed. If this occurs in your presentation, you will not be invited back.
  • The seminar audience consists primarily of brand marketers, retailers and agency representatives responsible for building the brand's in-store presence using P-O-P displays, packaging and other in-store marketing tactics, so plan your proposal to speak to this audience.
Key Information
For proper consideration, please include all of the following information with your proposal:
  • Proposed speaker name, job title and company name
  • Short biography of speaker
  • Contact information, including address, telephone, fax and e-mail
  • Title of presentation (one line)
  • Four- to five-sentence summary of presentation followed by three to five bullet points of what audience members can expect to "take away" from the presentation
  • Summary of previous conference speaking opportunities and two speaker references including name, company, phone and e-mail.
Again, speaker proposals are due by Oct. 16, 2006 for consideration at the 2007 In-Store Marketing Summit. If you are unable to submit a proposal, please help us with future programming and answer a few questions with the attached form.
